A Little Update Y’all

Greetings to all our readers!

Since we last talked, it’s been a busy couple of months trying to prepare everything to get Portner Brewhouse ready for build-out.   Everyone will be able to see what all the buzz has been about.  Later this month, hammer to nails, we will begin building at 5770 Dow Ave in Alexandria West End.  The future home and corner parcel we will be occupying is going to have a seated dining room with an adjacent bar, but also outdoor dining for you to enjoy in the warmer months!  You will have plenty of space to sip on freshly brewed beer and gobble up house made pretzels.  All you have to do is make sure you have your Mug Club stein ready for a fill up!

It has been a long journey, and in the meantime you can always come see us for another Alexandria: Historic Breweries Walking Tour this Sunday with your dad, brother, or grandpa for Father’s Day!  It is always fun to learn more about local history and when it includes a beer tasting, how can it get any better?!  Also, this way we can kick off our Craft Beer Test Kitchen by including  local home brewers in the event and getting feedback from you!  This Father’s Day come try a Mixed Berry Pale Ale, Brown Sugar Scotch Ale, and a Master Chief Stout all brewed by Matt Becker.  Don’t those sound awesome? The Old Town event is held outside, so be sure to bring good shoes and water to have handy for good hydration in the warm weather.  Find our more about the beers and get your tickets here!

Prost!

  1. Wow, this is amazing. Lets talk and catch up one of these days soon.

Wish I could come, but it is a long way from Los Angeles.

    Best
