Did you know that the first time Father’s Day was celebrated was in 1908 in West Virginia? Don’t worry, we didn’t either.
Did you also know that the first time someone forgot to celebrate their father was the following year? Now we might be making that part up, but just think, if they had some way to make it up to then.. If only there was a future time where they could spend a couple of hours together learning and hanging out in Old Town.
If you are thinking what we are thinking, join Portner Brewhouse and spend a Saturday afternoon walking around Old Town with a local historian finding out all the fun facts on how beer started out in this area. In addition, you get a complimentary beer tasting and the ability to have a pint at ‘hop stops’ along the way.
Please join us on Saturday July 11th, 10am – 1pm for Alexandria’s Historic Breweries Walking Tour & Tasting, get your tickets here.
