While not everyone wants a beer bottle chandelier, most will appreciate a craft beer gift basket, growler, or gift card. Here are a few more ideas…

  • Gifts that keep giving: Two gift ideas to keep them singing all year are beer magazine subscriptions (Beer Advocate or Draft are both good places to start) or a beer-of-the-month club membership.  Who wouldn’t love to have beer showing up on their doorstep every month?  A couple of retailers include and for this great gift.

  • Give the gift of breweriana: If your recipient isn’t going to be sated with this, another option to consider is the gift of beer memorabilia or nostalgic beer items.  Some love to support local breweries on t-shirts, which you can usually purchase at the brewery or on their website.  Others love to collect old beer bottles, glasses, openers, or advertisements and signage that can be purchased at antique stores or online from places like or  You may even come across some pieces from the Robert Portner Brewing Company! (If you do, please let us know)
  • Teach a man to brew and he’ll drink for a lifetime: A membership to the American Homebrewers Association (AHA) includes a subscription to their magazine, Zymurgy, access to information and networks, seminars and an “Ask the Experts” corner. For only $38 for a one-year membership, and $19 for additional household members, this makes a great gift for individuals, roommates or couples.
  • Create your own 6-pack: If none of these work, one thing that won’t disappoint is good old-fashioned beer!  The Total Wine chain has a great craft beer selection and lets you create your own 6-pack of bottles.
